User experience strategist · Charlotte, North Carolina

I'm intensely focused on designing experiences that positively impact the lives of humans.

Hello! I'm Max and I work in UX strategy. I ask questions, talk with people, and look at the data to help a team decide what may be worth building. Then I try to help make it real and learn from what works—and what does not.

I've been fortunate to do this in healthcare, financial services, and nonprofit work. I've worked at Novant Health, Vanguard, and FARM127.

How I work

I try to keep the work simple.

Understand the problem, agree on what matters, make something and see what happens.

Start with the problem

I begin by talking with users, looking at the data, and learning what the team is trying to accomplish before suggesting a solution.

Make a useful plan

I help turn what we learn into clear decisions, rough ideas, and next steps that people can act on.

Whether something works or doesn't, we still learn.

I use feedback and data to see what helped, what did not, and what we should change.
